Hey guys...
just wanted to post a few pics of the PC3 and ign module installed....very simple to do with easy instructions....If you want to do it the right way,Buy it from ULMER as he will set up the firmware and mapping from the get-go.....I highly recommend going with Allen.
the install itself is plug and play...here is what my setup looks like all done...

Thanks. Keep me posted on the performance. I am currently using the fuel controller from Hauck and possibly looking to replace with that set up.

Megapower Dial Adjust-Increases engagement and decreases belt clearance at the same time.

uho...all my secrets are out!...hehe....j/k.
yep the clutching is all dalton components,no secret there...lol...but the "DIAL-ENGAGE" is a rather cool thing I got used from another member....with my setup ive had my primary CUT for OD.....the result of this leaves more area at IDLE when belt sits in bottom of primary, which makes it JERK on engagement....
so,with the "DIAL-ENGAGE" you can simply ADJUST the moveable sheave inward on the primary...I "DIAL" it in so the sheave is real close to the belt at idle....which makes for an awesome SMOOTH engagement...so with this setup i get the best of both worlds, overdrive cut clutch for top end while running 23 gearing AND still ultra smooth engagement.

hey guys....here is a couple things ive learned today while working with the pc3 on my laptop....this was all PRIOR to my install of any item to sled.
First be sure to load the firmware onto the pc3 using the ign module software disc....this MUST be done first and is very clear in directions from DYNOJET.....then you will UPDATE settings, following along with ign module directions.
then I wanted to play around with MAPS....to do this you must install the SOFTWARE from the disc that comes with pc3 unit....alot of this i knew already from my harley...this was the main reason i bought this, cause the pc3 is what pretty much every bike uses to piggyback the stock ECU ,to ADD or SUBTRACT fuel.....while the IGN MODULE allows for advance or retard of IGN TIMING.
next thing you need to do is load the maps into pc3....or you can simply go with a ZERO MAP,which it comes with STOCK.....this is when you need to plug the ign module into the PC3(white 10 pin plug).....then plug the 9volt battery into the other FEMALE white 10 pin plug...this powers the PC3 & ign module, and readys it to accept the new map, which you create in the pc3 sofware.
this is something i found out that you need to be aware of....if you load the MAP to pc3,using battery directly into pc3,and FORGET to hook ign module to pc3,then you ONLY will load FUEL PORTION of map....and the IGN portion will not be saved, due to not having ign module connected to pc3.....so be sure to connect the two units, then battery to pigtail before loading or changing any maps...i found this out after reading the map,and ign portion was missing, then realized what was wrong.
again...if you buy from ULMER,you will have yours ALREADY SETUP from him....ofcourse I did mine the hard way as usual...lol
another note...if you want to change a map ,you can connect laptop to pc3 when its in sled at anytime...and im 99% you can start the sled, and since the pc3 lights up and is powered, you do not need to plug in 9volt battery to load new map(but i havent tried this yet)
the coolest thing is you can see the Pc3 lights moving on left side of sled at night...thru the vent....we dont need no stinking LEDS!..lol

Yes you can connect your computer to the PCIII and ignition module while its on the sled while running your sled. With the enging running the software will show your throttle position (which most likley needs to be calibrated) as well as the fuel and timming changes as well as your RPM's

thanks...i was wondering about this,i havent taken the laptop out to the shop and fired it up yet....ill do that tomorrow and check it out...I saw in the software where it shows throttle position % on right and RPMS,fuel change, and duty cycle....
this is exactly how these work on the harleys....
I must say its really cool that we basically have a motorcycle motor here and we can now tune these just like the bikes.....for anyone who is a gadget freak and like mixing computers with motors...this is pretty cool stuff.....
Ill try to post some pics of when i hook my laptop to sled while running,to show how cool the software is for any of you guys thinking about getting into a pc3 for your ride.

Ill keep the thread updated with what i see with gains...im sure there is much to be had but wont know till i can get out the gun, which could be soon....
i cant do much tweaking of my custom maps since i dont have a wideband 02 gauge yet....
I think either way, this is a slick addition for these sleds....litterally so much tunability with the pc3 its limitless.

got out today for a small ride 75 miles or so....runs flawless...very snowy, deep snow on lakes so really couldnt run it for top speed.....
I did hook up my laptop to the sled, when i got back...and man this is a cool setup...
you can simply turn on the ign key on sled, and with laptop hooked to USB port of PC3....you now see the throttle postion MOVE as you move the thumb throttle, from 0% to 100%.....this all works with sled not running.
then,i fired it up..and the software shows the rpms as you rev it up on a stand...and shows your fuel and ignition ect....this is some cool stuff!
here are some pics.
