Do you guys have the slider twisting? Everytime I pull the cover, there is one of the 2 slider on each tower that is not straight. Anyone know what to do the have them to not twist like that.
There was a lot more play with the old 2 stroke clutch and fixed sliders.

It might be possible to put the fixed slider in ours.

Will see. I plan to try a couple different set-up this year...

Doing the same with mine, got a used apex primary with 14.5mm rollers, putting my weights and spring in it and gonna run it. Not a true test but just shaking the apex primary it makes no sounds, shake the viper primary and its very rattly. The Allen screws on the rollers I feel are going to help a lot with the noise. I'm not concerned about the noise, but since I have the apex primary which have never been a noisy clutch I mights well use it, it has less miles than my viper primary and the smaller rollers that I mainly wanted.

Did you guys ever figure something out with your primary clutches? I cleaned mine up in hot water with dish soap and it feels like its binding when going to close it. The clutches have 3100km on them. I also noticed a lot of marks from the sliders. How do you polish the main shaft do you have to remove the spider? I seen some videos and the clutches just fall nicely and mine I have to push with a little effort to get them to close.

Cleaned all metal moving parts with steel wool including the shaft.
I'm going to have my clutches machined so when I put it back together I will leave the o rings out.
My primary clutch is spotless and with cover and spring removed it still will not drop by itself. There are score marks on the towers where the damper sliders travel
I had a couple threads on this back last season. Mine is back together with a dry film coating on the spider pockets. We'll see how it lasts. Ulmer did the R&R for me and it checked out good, but I have not been out with it at all yet.

Anybody actually splitting your primary apart or just cleaning with it together?

Just get what I can. I believe Nospro splits them.

Mine had been split. It's time for new slider pads so it will be split again soon.

I split mine because I had to to get rid of o rings. I know you can never seem to get the dot's to line up after removing spider but what are people doing to balance them after? Thanks Bruce

Mine had the same problem, extremely tight, wouldn't drop own it's own and couldn't even get them cleaned up with sandpaper/steelwoold. It's at a shop now being machined, and they expect this is from the clutch being too hot. The bushing in the cover was also frayed, and may be related to the heat. Looks like I'm going to screw around with the clutch set up again!
