Has anyone used what i believe is called a speed sheath.
From what i understand it replaces your oe inside pulley on your primary clutch.
I was told that it would help to raise the belt higher in the primary pulley therefore increasing my top end, but not take away any midrange.
Any thoughts
Thanks

i had one on my srx it is designed to shift up faster to get the belt out of the bottom of primary faster yamaha's slip area. worked great for 500ft drags and for trail rideing but i ran into belt slip over 100mph would leave belt burn on top 1/2" of primary sheaves , i would just run drag&fly's or ulmers supertips, they get rid of belt slip on engagement, improve overall rideability and gain a few sled lenghts to boot. running both set-ups now and happy with both. also gear down top sprocket to at least a 23 tooth, won't pull 24 tooth

Thanks, thats the kind of info i was looking for.
I am after more mid range and more top end.
getting spanked this year by a new xp

someone local has a proline kit that includes dalton adjustable weights,
not sure if that is a good kit or not.

thanks again
