I bought this sled for my girlfriend to ride and am very disappointed in it. Went to the black hills and rode this past weekend and the temp light would come on all the time when we were riding in 6-8 inches of new snow. The antifreeze is full and the front heat exchanger would get so much slush packed in there and would be a gap between the slush and heat exchanger. What are the fixes to eliminate this? Need something quick to fix it or it will be forsale and I will be buying her something diffrent.

close at least the rear (large) hole in the tunnel... this alone makes a huge difference. next thing is to get the radiator fan.

I have the sides all enclosed. Does yamaha make the part to close the large hole or do you need to make it?

Where can you buy the tunnel cover and how much do they cost and also what does the fan run?

Just make your own tunnel cover and see if Yamaha will give you the fan.

The kit yamaha provides is ok also, but i think with some reflective tape you could you practically the same thing at a fraction of the price.

aluminum plate 11 1/2 X 25 is what i used cost me less than $15. complained to yamaha about the overheating and they installed fan for free aswell as both lower ball joints. I bought mine used and they still came good for it.

I belive the fan kit is a manditory dealer update, along with a few other things on the 2007 Phazers. Mine also had the temp light come on until I told my dealer about it, he asked if I had the fan update. I got the fan and closed the tunnel and have never had a problem again even on warmer days and low snow conditions.

Fan was only an update in the US not Canada. Canadians have to contact Yamaha, not the dealer and hope they will cover. That's what I'm doing right now.

Are you sure? Mine was done by the dealer.
