Promod Trail Sled

First of all I would like to thank Ben from Turbo Dynamics for the help getting my sled as fast as it is. I managed to take my mountain sled 2018 BTX LE and make it compete with the fastest promod asphalt race sleds in the world. The modification list is fairly small compared to a lot of my competitors. I did this on stock ecu with a TD race tune, stock fuel tank (big fuel pump), adjustable fuel pressure regulator, stock injectors, stock exhaust manifold, TD intercooler and intake setup. Minor weight reduction headlight delete and lithium battery. I made a lot of my own easy parts to help custom short seat, side exit, custom intake, and custom reverse delete. Stock Yamaha clutches were used and I even had my stock handlebars and riser. I put on a used older proline skid. Ben helped me all weekend at amsnow to push from a 5.30 1/8th mile to a 5.13@130 and an 8.49@153 1/4 putting me at #6 on the OSDRA promod list amongst full blown proline chassis race sleds. Anyone that puts effort forth can compete and have a lot of fun racing on asphalt, I’d highly recommend it if you are thinking about it. Also this sled was and still will be ridden in there winter, it was rocking 3 states of trail passes at amsnow this year and will be getting all 3 again next year! Love my sled and tunes from pump gas trail days to deep powder high elevation mountain days to racing in the summer.

TD tunes are the tops and you have worked hard and show this...

That is amazing Mitch. Congrats.
TD tunes make very good power and nice to hear that even though Ben wasn't physically there he spent a great deal of time supporting you.

He's been running TD for a while. He started racing on Powertrail then Max 17 than Max 20. Finally going to the race map recently.
We talked on the phone to dial in the last bits of power. It's easy to make 320HP to make 350HP+ takes finesse. I believe he was at that power. We never changed the tune, just made small adjustment to his TD Adjustable Fuel pressure regulator. And also played with primary clutch weights to achieve target PRM.

His time is basically not even a tenth of a second behind glenn hall's record which is phenomenal. He's got so much left to do on his sled, it's far from a full pro mod, mostly an improve sled at the moment.
He will challenge for the record with just a set of clutches IMO. Every run he had a blue puff of smoke coming from the poor stock clutches slipping the belt trying to hold 350HP worth of power, a high RPM launch and 130mph+ gears.
stock clutches work decent up to about 300HP than then just start losing their efficiency.

Congratulations to Mitchell Moeller very impressed by his sled ! And it has proven how good the new TD super cooler and high flow intake work as well as race tune.
Almost all of his competitors had the Linkecu standlone and he was running a stock ecu tuned by TD. He got a lot of eyes open that weekend.

Well said ben, there is less than half a season on my sled on a full race map, next year I’m looking forward to being even faster with more knowledge and some clutches that will actually hold he power I’m throwing at them. Stock clutches have a lot of potential but do suffer when pushing these sleds to the max.

All of the Big Dogs in St Germain are gonna be giving you the stink eye. Myself, I root for the underdog, heres to ya.

I had plenty of funny looks at amsnow, I enjoy being the underdog and hurting some feelings. Lol most of the sleds I raced have spent more time on a dyno than I have on a track.

Thank you. Are you planning to do some ice racing ?
I know you like your mountain riding ..

I’m not sure about ice yet but I definitely want to do some snow drags this winter, yes I do love my mountain riding but drag races are a bit closer.
If you want to hit up the world series on ice 660 let me know.im bringing my pro mod and I want to lay down some serious numbers. We know ice very well so anything you need let me know. You showed some great skills on asphalt this summer and we'd love to help you for ice transition.

While if you’re coming down it’s going to be very hard for me to say no to meeting you and setting up my sled to run.
