I purchased a new Apex Ltx Gt and I'm wondering how the front shocks compare to my 07 RTX Fox Floats? I loved the Fox Floats but have heard very good things about the GYTR clickers on my new sled.
Any feedback would be appreciated, I'm 230lb aggresive trail rider is this helps?

Curious about the flexibility of adjustment with the GYTR shocks?

GYTR shocks more forgiving than Floats & lots of adjustment. What are you looking for? Wheelies, trail compliance, compression,rebound all is there just click it in.

My two biggest concerns are cornering and uneven moguls? The floats were great at uneven moguls but I thought lifted in corners bad. I assume the GYTR shocks excel in cornering but I'm concerned that they will not be as good on the uneven moguls? My dealer is confident in his setup for trail riding, I guess I need to better understand how they work in case I need to make adjustments while riding? better cornering is at this point my number one goal, I hated how my RTX lifted in the corners!

If you're running a lot of pressure in the Floats holding the front end on the tall side, there's not much doubt you'll be getting some early lift in the corners - exactly like a lot of preload on conventional shocks?
IMHO, either way you go you'll be up for a revalve to set up for you're preferences. Regarding the Floats, the initial harshness resulting from the mindless OEM calibration will disappear, but a set of air resi's can make that even better, allowing you to run a little more air pressure. FWIW

I love the adjustability of the shocks, at one time I read on here that someone couldn't tell a difference but I disagree I like to firm mine up for when the trail is smooth and it corners on rails, when it gets rough I soften them up and they do a godo job soaking up the bumps.
As far as side to side they did bounce around a little but I'm not sure if it was the shocks or my 13mm sway bar. Running with no sway bar is a lot of run on a uneven rough trail, just not practical.

Min tranfer setting on transfer rod keep skis on ground with GT. GYTR uneven mogul handling good but Floates may be better for that but depends on size of moguls. I find clicking on GYTRs changes everything so you need to change things 1 item at a time.

What did you end up with for front suspension settings after a season of riding? I am looking for a place to start with my new to me 09 LTX GT.

i am new to the clickers on my 06 as well. have no idea where to set them. i just set them to stock, comp. and rebound and then firmed them up a couple clicks on top and bottom. so when you adjust the compression, do you also change the rebound? or are do you tend to adjust completely independent from each other? so will a harder compression setting keep the skis planted through the tuns better? i am assuming so.

I'm as green as you guy's as far as setting these shocks up but I did find this video pretty informative.
My decision is to leave them where they are (factory settings I believe?) and just play this year until I find my happy spot.
I would however like to hear what others have done with them and the other settings they changed in the rear skid.

You do adjust completely independent from each other until you get what you want. 1 click at a time until you have a feel for it. Ride & click great shocks.
