Something doesn't sound right with these sleds.
7520 miles on mine with NO track clips lost and original hyfax. Just changed the hyfax this week.
How tight do you run the track?

Track is so loose that it ratchets, have oversize wheels but not enough time on them to see if they did the trick.

Well I just bought an Attak GT to replace my Warrior which had none of these problems. I will be less than impressed if I will be dealing with this on an expensive sled from a manufacturer that touts quality. This quality was certainly evident on my Warrior. I'm not looking to go backwards.

Yes the sled was purchased used, I know him personaly and he was not the problem, sled looked and rode new when purchased in November 07.
I run the track which is studded, loose but it does not ratchet.
I did not mention the DEALER covering the chaincase ( complete, cases, chain gears ) everything. Seems the rubber gasket was pulled into the case. That alone was over a grand ! Thank You NELSONS SPEED SHOP !
I am in the process of returning this FANTASTIC RUNNING sled to the snow with the " Great fixes " found in this post. Thank you for the replys, I really apreciate them.
I must remember this is an industry changing accomplishment for Yamaha and this type of technology will come with quirks. It sure is NOT my old two stroke !!
