I bought a 2011 Apex SE at the end of January. Because I bought it just 3 weeks ago, I only have 1,400 miles on so far. I set the rear Mega shock at 180 lbs(I weigh255 +gear). After about 700 miles I noticed the rear skid started to bottom out over large bumps, so I checked the air pressure, and it was down to 160 lbs. I pumped it back up to 180 lbs, and now another 700 miles later it is back to about 162 lbs. My question, Is it normal for these mega shocks to keep losing air? Thanks for your responses.
You have to check air pressure at the same temp or the numbers will change. Seems that you are loosing air though. It should be closer then that if the temp changes for sure. 18-20 in 10 days is not right. What did the dealer say?

Floats are succeptible to changes if you pump them/ fill them up in a heated garage, then bring them outside, if that is even what happened in your case.
Otherwise I'd invoke your warranty.

Have always checked & adjusted the pressure with the back end off the ground in a unheated garage. Just seems to lose 20 lbs or so every 500-700 miles.
It leaking for sure. Call the dealer and let them know. Just dont give them the sled till your season is over so there is no lost time.
