Compared to how many times our customers report wins and how many times we win when we go out on the lake yes... We rarely brag.Really?

It must be hard to be humble when you’re fighting for dollars with fierce competition

You are a master at deflection this post is about a quiet exhaust that makes big power for the average trail buy not professional racer beating up on trail guys. Wins and losses will vary everywhere you go let’s jyst say down here it’s not in your favour. As far as bragging that is you on every post but that’s fine your in business to make sales and you have done well just don’t get so offended when it doesn’t come out in your favour. Merry Christmas Ben

Videos rarely if ever capture sound volume or quietness.
To get this post back on track, I agree with Stone88. The Hi-Flow Hurricane replacement muffler is stock like quiet and DOES make huge power. I've seen the track dyno sheets on one from an independent shop. On the 270 Hurricane race tune, this hi-flow muffler exceeds other straight thru mufflers and tunes by 5 track HP. According to one shop, that's like having 10 HP at the engine! As a follow up to the track dyno, it also thumped other tunes and straight thru mufflers sleds on the trail and drives away nicely, and they BRAG they make more power than 270 too. Just average Joe sleds out having fun, not mine.
I've yet to see ridable snow yet to get mine out. UGGGG! I will say the Hurricane hi-flow replacement is quiet on the stand for sure! I've had others on my Doo that were supposed quiet, but straight thru that I couldn't take without ear plugs.

Sandale posted the only dyno graph's I've see of back-to-back testing and his stock mod was within a couple HP of his 2.5" Magnaflow, but fell off a little on top - how can Dave's make more power than a 2.5" straight through? Not doubting what you say, just trying to understand.

I'm not saying it makes more power than a straight thru, just saying it makes more power than the competition claims on the track dyno with their turbo straight thru muffler. Obviously Daves new muffler is really working well as it does not seem to loose any power over the Hindle straight thru at the 270-280 power level.
Not sure its not the tune itself, but the thing I know is the Hurricane 270 Race tune and Stock Muffler mod pulls more helix & weight than the competitions straight thru loud turbo muffler & 275 HP tune combo and shows more HP at the track then the competition shows, along with outrunning them on the snow-in the field.

2 sleds in our group running the 240 race tune from Hurricane. One has the Hurricane muffler the other is the hyper flow 3inch. Will be lining them up soon.

Quiet with minimal power loss is exciting but from what I can see is only opinions at this point. I dont care about mirror finish but soemthing magical has to make it worth 200 more than everyone else's. ?

I ordered TD super quiet exhaust along with their CAI on the 14th. I hopefully will get it this week because I'm taking it to Woodys Yamaha on January 2nd to be serviced and have them flash TD powertrail flash. Made more sense then taking the chance at shipping it. I've been following a lot of the posts about exhaust especially here in Maine. The wardens don't care about decibel readings one reason why they got new language written into the law. If it doesn't have a sscc stamp to them it's illegal. I've seen pics of and other members tell me the stock heat shields fit the SQ. My choices for exhaust and tunes were based off of my discussions with Woody at his shop. He installs both Hurricane and Turbo Dynamics flashes and has made his own stock exhaust mod. One reason I went with the Super Quiet over Woodys exhaust mod was the tune and exhaust were made for one another. That's my number one reason and second if I sell the sled or trade I can go back to stock and get reflashed at Woodys for minimal cost. I just hope things fall into place and I get my stuff this week if not I'll tackle the swapping out of the exhaust myself which I haven't done yet. Hoping to get my first ride of the year in the first weekend in January. Can't wait to see and feel all the hype about the flashes. Snow has come early and stayed for much of Maine and after today's storm and the forecasted cold things are only getting better. The cold should freeze up any water holes and lakes and ponds should be safe if not already very soon. Ride safe everyone and I for one wanna thank all the aftermarket guys for all you do. We as the consumer are getting better products all the time because of your drive to put out the best products available. Thank you all of that.

Wow im gone a few days and missed alot here! lol
I just have to say initially, that Ive watched Ernie and Robbie for many yrs at the track, and they are always a force to be reckon with. Their stuff is almost always the fastest around. It would be alot of fun to watch Ernie and Ben run them off sometime.lol
But I digress....In the spirit of the season, I like to see all the turbo gang getting along. I know the turbo crowd always has the most intense discussions(to say the least) as we are all so passionate about the big power. So its expected to get alot of back and forth. I dont think any tune or muffler is really inferior or superior. The tuners in Ontario are amazing, and while they are competition to eachother, I like them both very much, and they are both a wealth of performance knowledge. Lucky that we have these guys here for us all.
As to this thread(which is rather old but revived) lets not forget the Sandale stock modded muffler, which I wanted to go with as it has rave reviews, quiet stock like sound, and some great dyno work(sheets) to prove it. I think Mike needs to mix it up more and post here more often, but I know he is a very busy guy. I just figured guys should keep his Stock modded in mind too.
Well we got about 10 days now straight of VERY brutal temps ahead, and Im hoping more guys can get out and ride now, I know my lake is gonna be ready to run in a day or two, and I just finished installing my studs. So it will be interesting to see how these tunes do with the extreme cold temps. Hoping everyone is careful and watching their gauges, and running good fuel. With these monsters we all need to take a little bit of caution when pounding on these engines. We dont want any going down.
Happy holidays gang
