Well that elusive 130mph mark was very hard to reach yesterday!

ONE problem! Ratcheting track! Damn thing ratcheted every one of the 5 runs I made.

Running on the nitrous is a pretty simple thing to do. I have the new Dalton set screw style weights that are offered in the ProLine Clutch kits. On the motor my sleds revs about 10700. I had a set screw in the tip and one in the heal. For the nitrous I turned the heal screws all the way in to the tip screws.
On the nitrous I revved 11500-11700, in thanks to my Power Commander Timing module and rev extender. Map #2 was my nitrous map. Adding slight fuel and taking away 2 degs timing up top and in the extended rpm range. (totally unnecessary in the stock rpm range, but I have ventured beyond!)

WOW does the sled ever like to scream up at 11500!!! Very SMOOTH! Without thinking, I believe it was hitting 11700 at times, and no sign of the rev limiter?! I was told my limiter was 11700!

Made 5 passes, almost back to back. 91 OCTANE! Half tank of fuel!

1st past I rolled down to the 1000 foot mark, stopped, and stood up off the sled then got back on and rolled on it hard! Trail studs and a ratcheting track make it hard to get going!! I ran 114mph in 1000'.

All my other passes were 2000 feet and netted 128's and a best of 128.5 in 2000 feet came on the fourth pass. I I could just get the track to stop ratcheting!

The third pass was 125.5 as I ran out of nitrous. <started with a low bottle! (btw, both my bottles were in my truck over night at -25 deg C. Nice and cold!)

In between every pass, I had to tighten my track. My passes where pretty much one after another! 4 stroke, no need to cool down!!

All in all, another great day with my HOLTZMAN nitrous system!! A/F ratios in around 10.5, surely was giving up some HP. But geez, 11500+ rpm!!!
My only disappointment was my Tcat ran 130.3 at that track and I wanted to beat it!

I have pics and videos to come, perhaps on Monday night when I get home!

A special thanks to Brent from Two Cool, he is a great parts supplier and has always had what I needed, like stock on the new ProLine weights here in Canada!

Great Job, I would have never imagined you could bring the rev limiter that high with PC3 and ignition box.

LOL!! 1000+ rpm or so up top with the nitrous!

I tell ya, 11500rpm is so smooth!!!

Jonathan,

What kind of conditions were you running in?

2000 feet, ice track. Cloudy, -10c was the high temp, no wind until the south (head/cross) wind picked up late in the day.

How long in sec are you actually spraying it?

I roll on the throttle for about 50 feet, then hold it WOT the rest of way...except letting up for split seconds to try to stop my track from ratcheting!!

That video goes awesome with coffee in the morning, thanks. What exhaust do you have. I am not trying to be a know it all. If you can get your head down 6 more inches, there is 2-3 mph. On asphalt it was easy to let go with my left hand and bring it to the running board to get my fat head out of the air stream. Try taping up some holes on hood, nascar style. This stuff worked for me, but be careful.

Thanks blue!! I had a couple issues besides my big head!! Instead of focusing on the lack of TIP weight in my weights, I kept tightening my track after each run. If I could get it to stop ratcheting, I would have then hopefully made a 130mph pass, then I could focus on clutching! However, I made 4 full passes and simply didn't want to pay for more! I was happy with 128.5mph in 2000 feet and 114mph in 1000! For now!! LOL!!

Ski-doo extroverts and a loose track another 2-3 mph. What exhaust is that or is it stock

It's the stock exhaust, gutted. And for the lurkers, there really is nothing to gut inside the stock exhaust...not like a 2 stroke can, that has packing 'packed' tight in it. The 4 stroke muffler has 3 pipes inside it, I cut out 2" sections out of each!
