noticed the front inner wheel in my skid was looking bad, upon further review saw the front shock shaft was rubbing on it. The actual shaft isn’t bent but the hole that supports the shaft was egged out.

Looks like I will need to replace the rail in order to fix this. Any way to salvage the rail?

I believe cannondale had a similar issue and fixed it by drilling hole out bigger and putting an insert in it.

Another option, if you've got an aluminum welding shop in your area they can weld the hole shut and redrill it. I've done it on a polaris skid with good results.

Thanks - agree. I need to weld and redrill or purchase a new rail. The egged hole is pretty large and the opposite side is just starting to egg out. I have 6,000 miles on the sled and maybe the pounding on the trail causes this naturally to happen. Bolt was tight and looked good last year when I had the skid out for inspection.

The front shock shaft is bending causing to bolts to loosen and egg out rail (at least that's what happened to mine)...I upgraded to an Arctic Cat RR shaft with Stingray's/Cannondale's spring.
