She bobs around 100 RPM at and roughly at 1800, is that a carb sync issue you think or something else? I also have the clutch rattle real bad to. On my Dad's vector he had a recall on the clutch noise and it is now silent was there anything for the RX1?
Also his sled is SOOO much quieter then mine, anybody else notice that, I'm assuming the extra cylinder makes more noise, but I didn't think it would make that much. Thanks!

May be time to go through the clutch. I went through my '04's this year and the roller bushings were bad. On your '03, the tower sliders could be worn down a bit also. With the engine running rough, loose sliders could casue some added noise. However, my bet is on the Rx's reduction gears. On the '03 Rxes, they were fairly noisey. Yamaha did some things to tighten them up a bit in the '04s. Also, the 3 holers do not have the reduction gears. So, I would suspect that the 3 holer would be quieter.

gears
those gears are behind the primary insde the moter. if your idel is going up and down 100 rpm,s i would still say you have problems in the carbs or you realy need a carb balence. also check your coils for voltage leak,s .

I'm thinking about sync'ing the carbs not sure if that would help or not.
