Rear Seat Torcs screw Solution....

Just picked up a chrome plated thumb screw at ACE hardware for $3 bucks. M6 x 1.0 thread.

It looks like I could easily tear my snow pants on the square corners of the mounting bracket, switching feet to the other running board side. I think I'm going to radius the square corners of the bracket off. It will still have a nice curved edge beneath to pull from!

I also picked up the Racewerx thumb screw from the parts and accessories catalog.

I drew on Stingray's pic for illustration...

glad i saw this thread and looked around my shop. found a free thumbscrew that fits perfect!
also found that the dealer i bought this machine from(never again) overtightened the torx with his IMPACT and i broke the factory tool trying to remove said screw.
had to use a flathead and a hammer, pop the broken piece out of jam, then a magnet to remove that, then my snapon 14.4 3/8" drive cordless impact WOULDNT remove the screw, fresh batt, no go. had to use a 1/4" breaker bar and got it. wtf. good thing THAT wasnt in the woods.
dealer got a friendly phone call or 2 after that yesterday...

If you haven't looked inside your tool kit, you should. I checked mine out over the weekend, and there is a special set of torx tools to use. So if you were wondering about it... you had the tool with you the whole time! ;)

Problem some had was the dealer using an impact to tighten the seat when assembling and making it VERY hard to get out. When they did the flash on mine I asked them to not use the impact or tighten it very loosely (our other Viper has EVO dzus fastener)

Made a seat bolt, seems to work good. Just found an old knob, drilled a 1/4" hole and slot for bolt head tightened it in with nut and good. Bolt is 6mm x .125 threads.

So after reading this thread I went out to my shop and tried to take my seat off ,and low and behold it was a mother hucker,so I broke out a good bit and a ratchet and pulled that thing out and thur it a far as I could.i was planning on leaving it out,but then I saw this (see picture ) and thought something like that would be cool,so I pulled one off and it was the right thread size, took out the cut off wheel shortened it and dab of anti seize ,screwed it in ,done, works perfect took ten min
