Thanks MrSled for the information. Is that cable to replace hard to do? In the picture above the cable adjuster is that elongated hole in the rail, this is where the inside idler wheel bolts to. Is this something thats needs repaired or will I be ok for this season with it?

Cable is not to hard to replace just a pain to get your hand in there. I see the hole oblonged out. If you keep the bolts really tight and once you push it to the top of the slot it should be ok for the season but I would weld it shut and re drill it.

Thanks MrSled for all your great help. I will get that hole welded up next year. Would you know where I could get a good detailed diagram of the 2 attachments points of that cable? I looked at the Yamaha parts diagram but could not see this.
