Would never have noticed without the pic you posted RayKnobs! Is that pic from a 11?I ask because it has those white upper idlers.I bet they made them better than the old black ones that flatspot and bearings go out fast.
tatalover78-2 your idlers are cool too.Whats the story on them?

My skid seems to sag real easy for about the first 6 inches of travel, then get so stiff like it hardly moves anymore when bouncing on it. Just seems really wierd. Does it look right?

looks good to me.When you are bouncing on it watch the transfer blocks at rear and see if it gets stiff right when rear arm touches them.If so thats what they do.

You could set a soda can on it and it would sag to the blocks. I bumped it up to med on the springs and i could get MAYBE all my 155lbs on it before it hits, but yes, that's when it acts wierd. I may just be use to the quad? I seem to remember this from last year, just nervous i guess? Thank you for the reply. Mike.

My upper idlers that i did ON the skid still. Bad pics, but you can see they were pretty dry. By the time i 'shoved' some grease in their, and pressed the seal back on, it seemed to force the grease into the bearing more, i feel it worked pretty good.
I did all of them now, but the rears, and they feel/sound dry. Can't get at the seal on them though.
On another side note, where my positive battery cable wore through.

You want to get the long ends of the torsion springs up and onto the mounting location to get the bolt through, right? It's to hard to now that you have a really stiff torsion spring? Is that what you're saying?
You should be able to get a pry bar in there with the back of the sled off the ground?

Mine does exactly the same thing. 3 inches of sag without anyone on sled. Then you push it down with very minimal effort and it goes down about another inch or two and will not rebound unless you pull it back up. I just installed Hygear Torsion Spacers and that didn't seem to help. All of the above occurs with it on the medium setting on blocks. I tried high spring setting and it got a little better but not what it should be. I also noticed the rear/rear shock is dripping oil near the rod. Total rider weight and gear is about 170lbs. Sled had 700 miles on it and both springs look good. Any ideas?

firdt thing id to make sure the sled is not up on shop dollies because for some reason this makes the back end act like this.
i have the same problem. i fixed it by taking the skid out and tearing it apart. then i cleaned out all the links and shafts out of old grese. it was a paste and i re gressed it twice a year.
while i was cleaning it out i sent the rear shocks for a revalve and rebuild.
now i have the springs on medium and when i get on it it goes down about an inch and a half and come all the way back up.
has 50kms on it and work great. could not be happyer with the results.

No ideas, sorry. I think it's partially just the way it is. Sleds always feel like a led turd in the garage, but if it's greased, and not broke, you should be good. Are you sure that's oil from your rear shock? That'll have to get fixed immediately if it is, i'm sure. No oil=BOING! I jumped mine just a little bit yesterday and it felt fine, and it's on the softest spring setting. And the way it handles, i couldn't get it over 30 mph if i tried, so no worrys about big air, lol. I felt like a bobble head.
