good deal, so what is your clutch recipe now? The rtx are all over the place, one person has tungsten on the heel, and the next at the tip. Mine is 4 washers at the heel and Five at the tip based on cannondales 4 base and three at he tip before mods. It's not great but better then original set up

Curtis, what's your engagement? I'm running cotc but that's even modified from the original.

Maybe I missed it,but what are you running clutch wise. Totally stock? I don't know if this will work on yours but mine is stock primary spring ( blue-silver-blue), 8 fp weights with 3.6 grams in the tip and a 46-40 helix. It's got me 2800 clutch engagement and for my sled the best mph I've ever seen. But, the biggest thing is nos-pro machined my clutches. Oh, and I'm getting right around 15 mpg.

Want to bring this back to the top. I've got to start by saying " thank you " to nos-pro for all the help he has given me and for sharing his knowledge and his skills with someone that he really doesn't know except for talking on the phone. He is a great guy and not afraid to help in any way he could. He got my blue and white rtx le with the 1.7 in. track to do 91 mph on far from ideal conditions. Iwas running with and xtx yesterday and on that sled I've seen 98 mph on, with the conditions yesterday on that same xtx I could only see 91 so for my sled to run 91 beside his I would say that my rtx le could pull 98 to 100 mph in ideal conditions. Nos-pro machined my clutches and basically walked me through exactly what I had do to achieve my desired results. I now have engagement that is right around 2800 rpm's and a sled that is a rocket. Some of these sleds come awesome from the factory and some, like mine, are a real turd! With Terry's help he got my sled from going from a good trail sled that would peek out at 74 mph to a fantastic trail sled that could do the c-note on proper conditions. Terry is not only a fellow sledder but now I think he has become a friend.
Thanks again!!! Weasel

You are very welcome Weasel

I saw this post this morning and it put a huge smile on my face

You are very correct....we have made a real and true friendship through this and I am very happy we figured out some problems and got your sled running good

Awesome friends, snowmobiling, good times and helping each other......PRICELESS!!!!

The old Nytro setup was not much of a secret, and the Nytro setup did not work for me. Funny part is Bender Racing has the COTC recipe I gave it to them.
I've been testing a helix change in my Ulmer kit. I had RPM's in the 8900 range with 1T and 2W heel.
Conditions changed on me though and it went to wet packy, but to me with the Supertip weights the LE did not seem to like anything tip or middle.
I'm on the fence right now between the Red and Pink secondary as well. We will not really have conditions to test any more this season, but I have a couple different setups to try.

Grass and Asphalt TD! That track would be awesome on grass.
