wanted to move the air intake for the comprosser so that it's drawing cold air from the outside.i'm going to be installing a lightweight hood but didn't want to cut a hole in the hood directly above where the intake filter sits but there's not many options.i bought some a b s pipe and a couple of elbows just to see if it was possible to run it up and along between the intercooler and side panel comming out behind the windsheld like the front mount guys and it is possible, but not sure if it will be any good.what do u guys think,to long of a distance to draw air from,to many elbows or what.>>>>>>>>>>>>>thanks

I wonder if a guy could rout that right out the side panel? Might interfer with the cover, though?

hey I notice it says E & s motorsports on your intercooler. thats where I bought my sled from. and thats where im getting my stage 2 from in a couple of weeks. and I was wondering how is the sled working for you. and problems or did you have to reclutch it after they gave it to you. and did they do all the work for you. and is that a stage 1 or 2 how do you like it compared to stock. and I think that piping design looks different I dont kno if I like abs tubing though. it would be sweet outta aluminum ! but let me know how it works because it would prolly help a little if it was taking the air from the engine bay. but from out side like the front mounts do. but that is a big distance like you said! so let me know how it works!!

darren from e&s installed the stage 1 kit, boost guage,02 sensor and knock box for me.He does good work and he's been doing that stuff for along time.the sled ran pretty good, big difference than stock but the fuel maping could be upgraded which i think they have done now.i'am changing a bunch of things this year to shave a lot of weight but a must have is a blow off valve. The sled performes good at high elevations without one but once u get down around 4000 ft then it's like the throttle is sticking.once you stab the throttle and then let off closing the throttle body plates all that boost(air) has no where to go.it blew my intercooler boots off a couple of times last season, not fun.as for the abs pipe it's just a fitting test.i can get some alluminum pipe in edm. from mopac auto supply.u won't be able to do this unless u remove your headlight and go with the light weight turbo hood set up.like hammer said in one of his post he had big hp loss because of to much hot air and i have experienced it to.u really notice it on a warm day.

yah that sounds good, yah I am going to get the s/c and all gauges.then ill look into a blow off valve hered that it is a must many times.. but that sounds good to me, and I am thinking about going with E & S. and yah I live in fort mac also. I was wondering if I could maybe come see the sled when the snow fly`s or maybe we should get all the boosted fort mac guys to do a run out at stony that would be alot of FUN eh!

Not exactly an Apex supercharged sled, but here is what we did on our supercharged Mtn Vector last season!
