Dang it. Mine started well last year at -33f last year. No way to know with 30-40 deg balmy weather we have had. Hope it's a fluke thing.

So I took two sleds up for the reflash is there anyway that you can tell if they actually did the update.

Not trying to be a smartass, but if you have to ask you may want to try a different dealer.

On a serious note
What was typical idle speed prior? Now they idle at 1500 when warm.
You should get a survey for each one asking about your level of satisfaction with the dealer but not about your satisfaction with the machine

I don't have the update but... Mine idles cold around 1800 and when the temp comes up it idles right at 1500.
Never had an issue last year so the update isn't a priority to me. This year I did install ulmers trail kit #4. I don't expect any problems this year either. Hope not at least.

Mine didn't start on the 27th at the inlaws it was -23 c dragged it into the heated shop for about 10 minutes fired right up. The next day same thing wouldn't start. On our way home stopped by the dealer got the reflash done, it's -26 c outside right now we'll see if she starts tomorrow.

1/2 hour max for flash. yes on some plastics no on hood
I missed my chance for a good test this morning. -17°f on our outdoor sensor. Weatherman says -10°f
Sled is inside after being washed. Nothing like 150% humidity in the garage overnight in sub zero weather. Not sure if it will be dry enough to sit out tonight or not yet.
I have to say that the cold starts on this machine have been pretty crisp. It's the warm starts that are just marginally uninspiring. Just need to remember to hold the key for a longer cranking time until it fires.

i too am in Regina in the deep freeze we are having lol. My viper started fine in these temps before the reflash update and even better now with it. 0 complaints with its starting nature in our temps around hereMine didn't start on the 27th at the inlaws it was -23 c dragged it into the heated shop for about 10 minutes fired right up. Think its a battery issue now. Cycled 3 times then battery died, charged it then tried again, it back fired my ears are still ringing then she fired up. Phoned the dealer and took it in. But at least it started this time -27 out this morning.i too am in Regina in the deep freeze we are having lol. I noticed mine tends to cold start with a pop. We have overnight low forecast of -6°f tomorrow night. It should be dried out enough to test it.

Coldest we have had since reflash is 10f I just turn key right to crank. It instantly fires. Dont prime,Dont wait for dash just turn key as fast as possible. Try it.
Diesel mentality is hard to break. Then again I often start my trucks w/o waiting as I am used to not needing to when parked inside.

-31C and mine wouldn't start. but popped a few times and battery started to slow. We pulled it inside and it sat about 10 to 15 minutes not long enough to warm motor much. I put boost pack on it and it started the second i turned the key. I am not sure what to make of it but disappointed. It does have the reflash done.
