I am not sure what was wrong with the SRX but man I loved the Yamaha triple performance and sound

If that red head triple had pipes and a good set up it could give a stock SRX all it could handle. Been there, done ‘dat.

Those pure Yamaha triples worked good and that sweet sound, I owned a 81 500 triple Polaris back in the day it was piped and trail ported that worked pretty good for what it was, would keep a 800 honest on a lake, loved triples ever sense.

Nothing wrong with that SRX. That SX is definitely piped. Our Bender piped, ported, ect 700 SX never lost a race to a 700 SRX including my own.

Might be on my own here (maybe not given the 4 stroke forum), but never liked 2 stroke snowmobile sounds, of any mfg. Sounds like an angry weed wacker! A canned/piped 2 stroke? Even worse!
