Anyone replaced the parking brake pads on their machines. My wifes RS vector needs them replaced. They look like they have a pressed on cap that holds them on. How do you get them out and replace them with new ones.

The calliper assembly has to come off. I think it is a black bolt with Allen wrench. You likely can adjust existing pads with the bolt that twists into it when you set the brake lever. Take it apart and you will figure it out. At least that's how a Nytro is, not sure if it is the same.

I believe its the same as the Nytro, but I think in order to remove the pads I might have to drill the outside end of the pad to release the cap that holds it in place. Both pads are worn below spec, so need replacing. I just bought sled and going thru it prior to letting the wife loose(safety wise). I will ask my dealer the proper way to remove pads.

Why bother? Either it doesn't work or you forget it on and possibly burn down the sled.

I changed mine and never drilled anything. Take it apart, it's not that complicated. I burnt mine off from moving sled while brake was set. (Dummy) I only use them to change the belt, makes it much easier.
