I went out riding today....rode my buddies brand new 07 RTX for about 10 miles or so (the same sled that I will be picking up on Wed)....and all I have to say is WOW!! These sleds rock! Money well spent IMO. It soaked up the bumps like no other and when you hit the flipper the power was there instantly!! I really only have beef with one aspect about the sled....how can I get mine to corner flatter when I get it? I know you sit up higher on these newer sleds so that has something to do with it but any suggestions to adjustments that I can make for it to keep the skis down a little better in corners?? new set of skis?? adjust air pressure in shocks? etc? Thanks

Lots of opinions on this but in a nutshell, for myself this is what I'd do, Take the shocks down to 40#, after you've installed the 13mm bar which is awesome, add a set of 8" Bergstroms with the shims and savers, I'm trying his 3/8" savers this week, loosen the front shock on the rear skid, pull the limiters up one hole, depending on your weight , set the cam on hard and set the control rod nuts so you're seeing two lines, I also set the clicker 6 clicks from full hard. If you don't purchase the 13mm bar and keep the stock bar in just try lowereing your front end down to nearly level on the arms, I think you'll like the results. I'm going to try to keep these stock skis with my set up. Just my opinion, Doug

Thanks, let me know how it works out for you with that set-up and I'll let you know what I go with and the results.
I just put 400 miles on my new 07 RTX. I tried 1/4 shims, but compressed too far into rubber. 3/8 worked fantastic, hardly any darting. I just cant believe they can sell a sled this nice and let it dart as bad as it does stock.Ive got 6 inch bergstroms with savers, work great.Front floats set about 40 1bs, center shock about as soft as it will go. Coupling rods showing about 2 threads. Cams set on medium. Clicker on shock about 11 or 12 clicks from soft. Havent tried raising limiter strap up a notch yet, because working pretty good with the this setup. Im pretty light at about 1751bs so you might have to adjust according to your weight.Good luck.

Thanks again for the response...I run about 190lbs so I shouldnt be too far from that setup, but we will see.

After running 2 years with the yamaha skiis and darting I finally gave in and bought some pilot 5.7 skiis for my apex..I soooooo wish I had done this from day 1..For 250 dollars you can have your sled perform the way it was meant too...
