Riding across the border

Border crossing

In years past, if you crossed either way you were required to call to report your entry. A Canadian number for entering Canada and a US number when returning.

Over here you can go into Canada with just ID but can't come back without a passport, unless of course you're on a bootleg trail.... which get a lot of use and move around for obvious reasons from winter to winter....catch us if you can kind of trails...never a problem but leave the turban at home.

Technically a passport is not required to cross into the US but they request it anyways, But you should have some sort of ID drivers license nexus etc. Canada depending on your criminal background or record may deny you entry. US citizens have crossed without passports but most have some sort of alternative ID, but it falls on officer discretion. Bring a gps when riding near the border as you can get your sled seized if you cross illegally, fined and also charged criminally.

There are other reasons to tread lightly near the border but I cannot get into detail for obvious reasons lol. Sledder beware.

Some areas are on a phone in basis but if your unsure contact Canada Border Services and they will advise you.

Don't leave your sled alone for too long unless you have theft insurance!
