WAS THINKING ABOUT PUTTING AN ULMER STAGE 2 KIT IN MY RTX, DO YOU THINK ITS NECESSARY TO STUD THE TRACK TO FEEL THE DIFFERANCE OVER THE STOCK SET UP, THANKS

No, regardless if you stud the track or not you will feel the difference. It is just a matter of what type of riding you do. I have studded every track of every sled I have owened for 20 years, ouch it hurts to say that! But to me it is a matter of safety on ice, whether it is lakes or trails or steep inclines. But there are also plenty of people that have never studded a track. But back to your question No you do not HAVE to stud your track.

I put a CPR kit in my GT and do to the much more agressive clutching stud's will definately help get it to the ground, I would assume the Ulmer kit will be very agressive as well. kviper
More power to the ground will induce more track spin, thus the addition of studs would be a good idea. Also as Bossman points out, studs will really help on ice, or hard pack roads. It is not necessary to stud, but i think the positives out weigh the negatives...BBY

With the Ripsaw track studding isn't a necessity unless you're going to ride on the lake or icy roads.
