Question, are all Vipers geared and clutch weights the same? Anybody know without spending a ton of time in the fiche?

Thank you very much, now how to determine what altitude sled was set as.....any indication in the VIN? I have ours running at around 10k altitude and it only pulls 7600rpm. Has to be a lowland sled

My altitude is right around 1000 feet and in stock form with no clutch kit mine was running 86-8700 if that helps at all. Only had 100 miles on before clutch kit was installed tho so that would have went up some as the sled continues to make more power

LTX SE is out of gear on our turbo at 117 on gps. Your stock LTX has plenty of gear, thats just all shes got in the conditions your running.

TurboJamie... if you don't mind me asking what do you have for clutching and what RPMS are you at to get to the 117?

plenty of gear on STOCK ltx se 137x15x1.25 track ran 114 mph on icy trail on speedo reading 183 km h on the GPS wich is 113.68 mph pretty acurate our speedo bone stock no studs ive got 800 miles

my stock ltx is the same . I did see 95 on speedo once. 600 miles now rpm around 8800 8900 . drew a line on primary face with a marker. 200 miles later still have 3/4 of inch of marker on top of the face of the clutch. That must = enough mph. is this our problem the consumer to fix or Yamaha? I personally believe Yamaha should be fixing it. not sure if clutch spring or weights are the issue.
