Any RX1 riders move up to an Apex? Was it a good move? I have a ton into my TRX,Relocated post and footwells,162x16 and a whole lot more, dont know if if its worth starting all over.Do they throw around any easier in the powder, ride lots of boondocking in trees

I am totally impressed on the apex, its not a boosted lightwewight rx1, but they work very well.

It is hard to match the throttle response of the Apex. But if you have done all of that to your RX, i would stick with it for a while. I have put a couple hundred miles on an Apex Mnt and Vector Mnt SE on the same days and same conditions, and the Vector is easier to snake through the trees on. The Apex is better for climbing. My TRX-1 is still fun to ride even after riding both the new sleds. If EFI would find its way to the Vector SE, I may have to throw a Boondockers side mount on it and call it mine!

I traded my 03 in on an Apex - I think it was the right move for me.
My 03 had the following done to it: punched track with extros, transfer kit, BOSS seat (2" taller), 2" handlebar risers, SLP Powder Pros, and the other small updates (coolant shutoff, holtzman carb springs, no swaybar, etc.)
I test rode the Apex last spring - the EFI and new motor innards make the throttle response and power a definite step up. The biggest benefit to me though is the track/tunnel/rear skid update.
It sounds to me like you basically built an Apex, with twice the HP - I'd keep it at least until you find out what the 07's look like, probably longer!

I was going to sell my trx for an apex. Yes it is alot easier to throw around than the rx. The only thing that stopped me is that I need big horse power for the BIS and BDS. Next year for sure though no doubt about it.

After riding an apex, i think the only reason i would buy it is for looks, newness, and EFI. It is extremely easy to pull over, but the whole sled feels nothing like my RX-1

Have you guys gotten any snow down there yet?
You need to head north this year

just rode my apex today for the first time, and all i can say is wow. after doing all the mods to my trx that i sold, being light weight skid, skiis, chromolly front end, titanium in the skid, seat and hood, the rx-1 is nothing like the apex. apex is night and day compared, and i am glad that i am riding an apex, it will be boosted either next week or week after at latest. it's the easiest handling sled i've ever ridden, i can get the front end up at the snap of the throttle, rx-1 i could not. whole different sled in my opinion, and worth every penny of it, even coming from my modded rx-1. just my thoughts. noob

We have snow. its that white stuff in between the blades of grass isnt it?
Right now its snowing really hard actually. I have gone to cottonwood once, wolf creek twice, elwood pass 4 times, and the rest is all at crested butte. Ive been heading north though all the time. Let me know if you go to crested butte this season and ill head up there. i might go to rabbit ears next month if its worth it.

I think Rabbit Ears would be well worth your time. We drove over it this weekend on our way to ride Steamboat Lake. Friday night CDOT had two snowblowers running to clear the road wider. The snow on most parts of the road are over the top of the pickup cab. It was snowing again today on our way back too - but I think you guys are getting more out of this storm.
I think we are still at 130% of normal snowfall right now for most of the northern mtns. Hopefully that keeps up, and you guys get slammed with some big storms to get caught up.
We'll let you know if we head to Crested Butte.
