It don't need to be synthetic Yamalube to flush it out. But even still, oil is cheaper than a $10K + sled!

My "sink"
Skipped over crap like this countless times, but on approach, hit bump and went airborne kinda sideways! Came down and sank like a brick!
Oh, yeah, I was later informed this was some kinda run-off from Bergland 'cause of a sewer problem.
had 'er going within 12 hrs and 10,000 miles later, she don't even stink!

Mine spent 3 weeks underwater but I let her go to salvage auction. Someone here probably owns it now.

Use some cheaper 5w30 and add 1 ATF to it. Run the sled for 5 minutes to circulate to oil and then change it out. ATF seems to help clean out the system.
A good friend and a great mechanic (could rebuild any motor) told me ATF would clean out an engine.

It was about 75 yrds from a street on the Hoop n Holler bar access trail. There is also a set of RR tracks parallel to trail about 50 feet away.Super Sled said:So Raypex, you sunk your sled in a mud bog overfilled with sewage? How did you guys get it out of there?
I was able to get the guy who runs the Ski-doo dealer in Bergland nearby to bring his jeep to pull me out.
Right now you're thinkin Just a jeep won't do! Sled full of crap water will weigh more than jeep!
That was exactly what I thought when word got back to me that "he's going to get his jeep, hang tight"
30 minutes later here comes two guys in a Jeep.
40 inch tires
Screamin V 8
no glass or doors
full roll cage and winch
The occupants are, of coarse, wearing: waiters, helmets, and 5 point harnesses.
NOW THATS A JEEP!
Wish I had pics

Awesome Raypex!!! I wish you had pics also. I'm glad it came out well. These sleds are durable, and while it's not the best, dunking them isn't a killer if you get them dried out right away per the above steps. Aside from flushing out the systems, I think the seat and electronics are the biggest bugaboo's.....
