being a first year sled well definetely have some issues. other than the left wet foot and a weak set of handwarmers i am more than satisfied with this sled. yamaha has built a heck of a bump sled. just curious how many others are satisfied with thier purchase. the sled forums tend to bring out more bad things than the good which is ok sometimes to keep us all informed. Its a great feeling riding a quality built sled that you know will get you back to the truck almost always! Thanks Yamaha

I'm satisfied as well! The minor issues are just that - minor! Comparisons have already been made and we have all seen what others are dealing with on the other brands. I don't feel like there is a better '08 sled!! Especially for the aggressive rider!!! ;)! ;)!

I've only put 100 miles on My Wife's Nytro but so far its awesome. Her handwarmers work great but that could be because she has the tall windsheild on it. It handles way better than My Apex and feels a hundred lbs lighter. The steering is very light and responsive but that could be because I have Pilot skis with 6 inch shapers on it. I will know more if we ever get Winter back. I think for a first year sled it is great with only minor problems being reported. Go to DooTalk and read about the XP, they are having season ending problems over there. The latest is the drive shaft breaking and as soon as the snow comes back this will be a huge problem since BRP has driveshafts on backorder allready and no real fix in sight. I'm thinking the light is right slogan doesn't apply to driveshafts and idler wheels.

I couldn't be happier with my new Yamaha. I'm 100% satisfied with my 2008 sled. To think, I once considered buying the 2008 Ski Doo XP 800r. I have a good feeling the new XP will get heavier by next year.

Acctually, I have been saying i'm more than satisfied with this sled, both here and on dootalk. Nothing to do with newbies posting either.

When buying a first year sled, I believe we are all part of the R&D team, and we pay for the privlidge. Yeah, sounds aweful. But we do it. And I, for one, do it willingly. I told my friend that any problems I had with this sled were partailly my fault for buying a first year sled. If you don't wait for the bugs to get worked out, you will have to deal with them. I understand and agree with the posts that say "the hand warmers should NOT be a problem at this stage, thats a basic thing". I do however like the idea that they are working on any potential safety issues first.

It comes down to this. You bought a first year sled and knew there might be some problems. Everybody has them, and recently. F1000's were dogs in their first year (from what I see of the close friend of mine who owns one) with a-arm failures and performance issues. Doo is having issues with their XP, and Pol has had some unsatisfied dragon owners. This is what new tech brings, great advances, but headaches as well. I for one will take the good with the bad and ride on when I can, and deal when I can't.

I'm Unluckydiablo and I'm a happy fx nytro owner.

Why does it seem like everyone is comparing the Nytro to only to the XP?

Go ride a little IQ 600 cfi, get back on your Nytro and then do some brand comparing.

Prob because of them comming out at the same time and all the hype. I agree, there are other sleds we should be compairing it too and the 6 and 700 dragons are two sleds that don't get mentioned enough. I for one hope to go to snowdeo this year and get to ride them, can't wait! I have plenty of other sleds I want to ride, even though I love my nytro.

check out the results to the survey.
