Save your money

I emailed Danny a few times with a couple small issues and he got right back to me. Cleared everything up right away. So far my yamcharged sled is running great.... Can't wait to get out there and put some hard miles on it...

Isn't there a way to figure out the boost by using your baro. on your pod??? I had mine on baro. the other day and when it idled it read 27.89, when I put it to the bar it would go to 29.xx, 30.xx, 31.xx So It climbs with throttle. This tells me Im building some boost but Im unsure how to convert it to lbs of boost???

So have you radared the sled or raced stockers to see what your gains are? Just curious as you haven't mentioned anything like that.

Yes i have mentioned this as the topic was also big last season. My sled was setup and dynoed "many" times last Jan. 11-13 at G-Force..Danny played with PC units and we overlapped dyno results to see gains .Dyno sheets dont lie.As of a stock Apex = 6-8 sleds back in 2000 feet..Did it !!What you have to remember is this system is only 20 hp..It was NEVER sold as a full SC and it does what it is meant to do..You want more info. go back to the many treads of last year OR call G-Force and ask to talk to Danny or Gilles..If anyone is not happy or cannt see gains with this kit then the install was ?? Again - best call G-Force..There are many very good companys that have tested and dynoed this kit before they put there name on selling it.. And acouple are on this site..Give them a call for there results................... ;)!

Umm dude, my question was to J-mac...just curious if he did any of this to gage results as he seems to say just a set of DnFs' will get you the same results.

8 to 10%, Example 27.89x .10=2.789, 27.89+2.79= 30.68 at wot. Give or take!

self corrected: good to see a company continue to improve a product and try to satisfy a customer...

Boy, lots of opinions since yesterday. In my thread I personally never said that I was unhappy with the product or the product was not worth the $. The upgrades are not to necessarily improve overall performance gains; they are to improve the overall integrity and operation of the product. Kudos to G Force for following up and improving. All I was saying is that when you purchase something and almost as quick as you get it installed there are improvements, it's frustrating. This is no way a bashing of the product or an expression of discontentment; it's just the truth about how I feel. I guess if you are going on the old horsepower gain for the dollar spent it may be a little costly but I think that for everyday riding it's a good deal for that extra edge that should not be too prone to failures. On the other hand I believe that if someone feels that it was money not well spent they are entitled to their opinon as well.

So far so good with mine! Pulling some good weight in the weights!!

No I have not. I just raced this against another appex gt that I had set up with other modifications.
I didn't not say it wouldn't be stronger than a stocker and don't care. Whats inportant to me is what will it do against other sleds with other small mods done.
I was just trieing to tell you guy's that I don't believe that they have all the bugs worked out of these yet. Save your money until they do. So that you wouldn't have to pay additional cost later. This is just my opinion........
I wasn't trying to get a big heated discussion over this. I was told when I bought mine that if there were any upgrades that I would get them. I didn't think it was fare that I had to pay extra. This is just my opinion.......

So on the bold...when you raced the other Apex, what were the results?

Hi Shaddow, Two sled lengths. Didn't matter rather it was out of the hole or running them side by side.
We were out two different times in different conditions and they ran about the same.
I could do a little better in the loose snow conditions.

So 2 lengths on a sled that had clutching and a couple other small mods? I guess that would equate to 6ish lengths on a stocker...which is about what other guys are claiming...6-8 is what they say. I guess I can understand your dissappointment but at the same time the gains are pretty much consistant with others and aren't that bad. I wonder if you havent clutched it yet that maybe you would gain more...but realistically...2 lengths on a lightly modded Apex is pretty good...not really sure what you were expecting...you gotta remember it's only 2lbs of boost and 20hp...can't expect results that you would with a reall SC setup. JMO

Maybe your right. Maybe I am expecting to much. Scott Thiessen thinks it should be better than that. He has really helped me fine tune these dragon fly's on the other sled and maybe I need to just fine tune them a little better on mine.
What sucks is my bud sold his sled last week to someone in Canada. I will have to start over using my wife's apex instead.

I'm sure with some clutch tweaking you'll get it were you want it, don't give up ;)!

Thanks Shaddow,
What really sucks here is that every one wants your opinion on here and if you don't tell them what they want to here they get mad at you for saying anthing negetive.
Now my question is.
If you can take a stocker by 6/8 sled lengths with a yamacharger.
If you take that same stocker and make some other changes ( such as a power comander and Ignition modual) and ad the same thing to the sled with the yamacharger. Shouldn't it still take it by 6/8 sled lengths.

That is s good question and I see the logic...just not sure if that's what the outcome would be. I think the idea behind the yamacharger is to be the only no hassle mod you do to the sled...vs tinkering with clutching ( that can be great one day and so so if the conditions change )..getting maps done for PC3, airbox mods etc. I very interested in hearing how thing work for ya and if you can achieve that.
