Hello I am new to this site and have been looking around for a topic of swapping the stock rx skid for the skidoo sc4. Has anyone done this and if so, maybe give some pointers/directions on how to do it. I have the skid just not really sure were to start and do I need anything else to put it in, or am I able to use the stock mounting plates. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

you will need to provide the length to get accurate info returned. You also need to provide where you are from in your profile.

What about putting an SC3 skid in from an 05 adrenaline? And is it worth the hassle. Don't have big bucks to spend on a performance skid.....just trying to get a better ride. Any help a would be greatly appreciated!

The Monoshock skid is a big improvement and a very easy swap.

Is that from the apex model?

Yes, I installed one from an 06 Apex and have some good pictures if you go that route. Just be warned that once you get the skid and replace / rebuild whatever it needs (bushings / bearings / shocks / sliders / new mounts, etc) the costs add up in a hurry.

Well I think the costs on shocks/bearings/bushing all depends on the shape of skid and that goes for any skid I would get to. But what do you mean mounts? Am definitely intrested in this. Is the mono skid able to take abuse to. I came from a skidoo rev chassis. So I an getting used to the rx platform but do not like the rear skid very much. Would love to see pictures! thanks so much for your help!

You have to buy a set of new front mounting plates if you can't get them with the skid (about $60). It is recommended that you add gussets to the earlier models of this skid but they addressed the cracking issues in later years. Here is the beef up info:
