Just wondering if anyone has tried the a-frame shim kit from schmidt brothers? It's 4 washers that's supposed to eliminate the play in the front a-arms. I checked my sled the other day to see if it had the slop in the front end that everyone else is reporting and sure enough it's there. Is that play all from bushing wear? The head's on the bushings are all visible but I'm not sure how thick they were to start. What would be the best way to fix this and get some longevity out of the front end?
Thanks

The play in the front end is simply due to factory design, at least in my experience. I have 4 of these phazers and all of them are sloppy in the front end. The shim kit works great and removes 95% of the play in the front end.

I just put a set on mine. If you look closely at the mount/frame and a arm, you can see there is a gap. Not to difficult to do. IMO, I think Yamaha should of made the tolerences a lot closer.
