(Season 2013-14) TY Mileage – Yellowknife

On shock settings, I forget what I'm at off hand, haven't touch the PSI in a while, but i'll get this info out when I double check my numbers. I didn't write my changes down last time on the trail.

Well, here's some action!!

2014 Snowmobile Season: Episode Four: SRViper First Ride HD (720p)

Video Description: An update on the Outlast Technology clothing review, footage from the SRVipers first voyage, the Viper and the Bearcat meet as the Bearcat makes its season debut, Greg dispenses some unique hot chocolate from the thermos for Nate, Charles shows us a modification to one of his favourite weapons, putting it to use, downing a few tree's for the fire, catching a few trout, and more footage of the Viper in action.

Cheers,

YK

Good stuff........................... Did you hit 102 ??????????? I swear you did :-o :-o MM

thanks for the shots of the pants allen. answered my question nicely.

Great stuff Allen. Best thing Yamaha could have ever done was to put you in all new Yamaha gear to go along with your new sled.

I'm looking forward to your real-world, unbiased testing of it all. I do love the sound of that Viper!! I hope the Blue with Black tunnel combo comes along when I decide to put my deposit down!

Keep up the great work and reviews on that camera as well. So far it's very cool technology for sure. I bet you would love a remote to help with the tagging. It reminds me of my first bullet cam that I ran to a Sony Digital8 in my fanny pack I used to use. I had the single button remote wired down my sleeve to turn it on and off.

Have a great season!!

Another question for you Allen, or the group, Anyone know who is making that clothing for Yamaha this year?

Outlast is not a manufacturer of clothing, but rather the material technology (Like Gore for example)

Just curious, as the stuff made in the past by Klim, and then FXR was good quality. But for obvious reasons those relationships fell to the wayside. More curiosity than anything.

The next video will have some very specific feedback rolling in on the new sled. The camera is fantastic on all fronts so far, amazing, even operating at -42 C!! It does in fact actually have a wireless remote, but I don't want to subject it to the cold seeing as how it is powered by an internal lithium battery and I don't really need the remote for what I'm doing while sledding. Cheers!!

Not sure... I may have been mistaken, thinking Outlast was also the manufacturer. I'll try to find out.

All that said, here's the next video:

2014 Snowmobile Season: Episode Five HD (720p)

Video Description: More first impressions of the 2014 SRViper X-TX SE including the Fox Float RC2's, reviewing various components of the SRViper including the gauge package, more feedback on the Outlast Technology snowmobile apparel, riding out to Tartan Rapids, riding out to Hearne Lake Lodge, cutting more wood in preparation for dealing with -42 C temperatures, a note on the first couple issues with the SRViper including the Fox Float RC2's and the engine bogging, and a typical dinner table spread at Hearne Lake Lodge.

Cheers,
YK

Here's an answer directly from Chris Reid at Yamaha;

Good question! We commissioned a supplier to build our garments for us directly (no middleman). They are the same company who used to make the FXR product before they moved to a new supplier in China. Their quality is quite good but they rely upon us heavily for input on the design ideas (patterns colors etc.) I would like to see us hire a full time designer who specializes in outdoor lifestyle to take full advantage of their ability… cheers cr - See more at: http://snowmobiles.yamahablogs.ca/2014/ ... /#comments

Always look forward to your videos Allan. Very good quality and it sure looks like you guys have fun. Can't wait till the next one.

I love the way we have had open dialog with Chris at Yamaha. It's amazing to get immediate feedback from someone like that.

He seem to appreciate all the testing and reporting that you do on the products as well. I bet it gives you a sense of actually helping mold new products with your feedback. Very cool for sure!

But Chris still didn't say who the manufacturer was. He answered as a politician would.
