(Season 2012-13) TY Mileage – Yellowknife

You guys can hunt moose in the middle of winter? And with snowmobiles? That would be a serious crime here! :drink:

And have you tried out Öhlins shocks in your sleds?

Seems crazy that no-one out there doesn´t service shocks locally! It´s not that hard to to and learn IMO.

Hey Allen, great vids. Your vids remind me of my old stomping grounds in Northern Ontario.
So what's in the horizon for your next sled?

I just found your videos a couple days ago. Man they are great. I live in northers saskatchewan and the country is exactly the same. Tons of lakes connected with bush trails. It looks like those vidios could have been made in my back yard. Looks like you and your freinds have a great time up there and don't let the cold slow you down. I have spent the last couple evenings on your youtube channel going through your videos and can't get enough. I have 2013 season already done and I am half way through the 2011 season. It's good to see that you guys keep a good sence of humour with all the issues you have. There would probably be more beeps in the vidios if I were filming them. What case do you have for your go pro. My son has one and all his videos have the fish eye look.

I see you bought the fox zero pro rer shock for your xtx, very nice. Hope it holds up for you. Question for you though. What year was the last shock that you blew out made? It should be printed on the label. I heard the design of the shock body was beefed up in 2011.

The last shock was purchased in 2011. Label is missing on the shock.

Yep our moose season is Sept to January, one tag shoots whatever size/gender of moose you want. I haven't tried Ohlins in my sleds, not even sure where I'd get my hands on any in Canada.

That's why I love it up here, it reminds me of northern Ontario too, grew up in Elliot Lake. Next sled? Nothing at this point. We'll see what happens.

Thanks! Glad you enjoy them!! Greg has two cases for his gopro, not sure what models they are, but basically one waterproof one and one that isn't waterproof.

OK, here's the latest - I'm heading out for a 9 day sled/camping trip so i'll try and get something up when I get back. For now, here's the newest episode!

2013 Snowmobile Season: Episode Seven HD 720p

Enjoy!
Cheers,

ahaha did you win??

Also, I forgot to post the latest episode up here! Oops!!

2013 Snowmobile Season: Episode Eight HD 720p

Video Description: Riding out to Hearne Lake Lodge on the helmet camera, video of 3 grouse close up in a tree, more complaining and visuals of the ice buildup and resulting panel damage to my 2009 Nytro XTX, helmet camera footage breaking trail into an abandoned gold mine, getting stuck a couple of times, getting pinned up against a tree only to realise that I have a big problem in the middle of nowhere.

So fill us in Allan. Did you spend the night on the lake with a nice little campfire? I bet it was a late night once help arrived.

So do you have to remove the engine to replace that front exchanger? Tough deal for sure.

Good luck! Sounds like a summer project.

WOW................... You messed that up bad... How did you get back????????????????? Is there a new sled in your future???? MM. ;)!

Man when you have a bad day........................... You have a bad day :-o

No I didn't. A friend at Yammi let me know where I could see one in Alberta but getting down there wasn't in the cards unfortunately.

too bad on the sled.

the viper I test rode was very good but I only rode the 136. I do not have much nitro time but it handles very similar to my apex xtx but it is way easyer to throw around. I wish I could have tried it off trail as I feel it will be awesome.
