Second ride report

Thanks for the post, this oil is motor temp and more able to run out small holes compared to laying over the tank on injection 2stroke oil. I had not thought that one through yet. Enough run out to have to add any?

The low oil light never came on but I have some extra from my oil change and will double check the level before Sundays ride.

Nikolai,

You will need to remove your light and 'frame work' remove your air box lid the foam filter and clean out your air box, OR you'll be making puddles in your garage every night for the next few weeks!
fwiw I found it easiest to take the air box lid out the left side (of the sled when sitting on it!)

All this and his rotor/caliper suffering also. Would you illuminate how both air box and caliper area are affected in his situation?

Sounds like the timbersled rear suspension package is the way to go... I just bought the ohlins rear shock and I dont think it will help much...
Ive rolled my machine numerous times on the left side and have rolled it right over but havent flipped it on its right side yet that I remember..
Its too bad yammi doesnt offer a better suspension package right from the get go?? Sure its supposed to be a mountain/powder sled but getting up to the powder can be as rough as #$%&*

2x700mm

Don't quote me but I think the sled holds 3.2 quarts even though it is a dry sump engine the oil tank only hold just over 2 quarts.
When the sled was on it's side (I knew it was on it's RIGHT side just by reding the story and FYI that the better of the two sides to be left on for any length of time...) the oil tank over flowed and...

The oil tank drained into the airbox then from the air box it ran down saturating everything on the right side battery, brake, side panel....

That's my guess!

Nikolai One thing you may check is you chain oil level because I'm unsure how well that black plug (front side of chain case) will accually stop oil from running out whie sleds is on it' side and this may be where your brake got wet from.... Not 100% sure...

I removed my air box lid and filter without removing the headlight and light frame work etc.. Was able to plumb and mount my nitrous manifolds as well fairly easily on the airbox...

I'll check tomorrow. I have the plastic off and the sled is thawing out as i type. I have to vacuum all the cords out and clean the oil up.
