Time to do some maintenance this week. Hifax is toast, rail end caps are toast, chaincase fluid should be changed, I have an oil leak at the bottom of the reservior, and my brake pads are shot. I did pass the 1,000 mile mark today though!

For this weekend I raised the suspension to the upper hole and sucked up the limiter a few holes to see if climbs any better. I'll report back after tomorrow.

Any feedback on these adjustments?

It handles way better. Actual deep snow performance seems about the same, but it keeps the front end down alot more while still transfering weight well. For the first time I could climb in old tracks without getting thrown all over the place.

In short, I'm leaving it the upper hole.

Hey, dont mess those springs up before I get'em...Just kiddin.

My buddy is shooting a video Feb 4th at Hatchers for their upcoming album. They are going with the whole Alaskan theme... Back country, fire pits, some parking lot ramp stuff, camping and some live footage shot at Koots. The Twins (THC) are helping with the ramps but riders are an issue. Most of them will still be waiting for their sleds to show up after X games. All are welcome to show up and be a part of the mayheim.

The band is 36 Crazyfists...Producer is flying up from the states to shoot the vid. Should be a great time. You should def. come up since it's in your back yard. May be a good chance to get some high quality footage.

Played with the suspension settings alot of the last few weekends and ended up near stock.

Moving the suspension to the upper hole helps with control while climbing in old tracks, but you have to suck the limiter up or it trenches like crazy. Doing this takes away enough of the transfer that the sled isn't nearly as fun to ride and jump. It's alot harder to pop in and out of creek beds and the deeps snow performance actually didn't seem any better.

I put it back in the lower hole and have the limiter on the second loosest setting. Much more fun to ride and does just as well in deep snow if not better.

Now at 1,125 miles. Rode today and had some decent carnage. Did a pretty good jump into an alder patch a few times. Broke off a chunk of the hood which caused the entire sled to fill up with snow and I also broke the black plastic headlight support in half on one side.

I think I'll just duct tape everything and fix it in the summer. The hood is probably $$$.

Edit: $109 for the hood and $42 for the plastic headlight frame....or duct tape for $.50 :D

Oh yeah, the pic is of one of the "smaller" jumps. The larger one had to be close to 50 ft.

I used it for one ride and sold it. It gave the sled a weird bog. When I would pin it, it would hesitate and it annoyed the hell out of me so I put the stock exhaust back on and it runs perfect again. The weight loss was only 7 lbs too. My stock muffler was about 13.5 lbs and the MBRP was alittle under 6.5 lbs.
