By my measurements offset is at 59.2 using Daves bar.
Of course i need to machine 2-3mm to get there and still have a shim.
I am at 60.2 no shim, good enough for what is left of riding here.
My bushing has a bit of play, no more than new tho

I took a quick look through the service manual for a spec but didn’t find anything yet so haven’t measured mine. Don’t know that this is a problem or not.
When driven is bolted together, it should work smoothly with no excess slop. If the bushing is too tight on the shaft it will bind when warm.
The sheave will seem sloppy when not all bolted up as an assembly with the helix bolted down properly. It's normal to have a fair bit of wobble with just the single movable on its own.

Can someone who has the Hurricane alignment tool please post instructions or a video on how to use the tool? I'd like to understand how it works before I buy one from Dave. Many Thanks!

I had my secondary shaft cut down to 50mm and did not cut the aluminum plug that holds the secondary on. Basically had a floating secondary. Then tried it cutting the plug down to 43.2 mm making it a fixed sheeve. By cutting down the plug it was much better. Never blew a belt after cutting down the plug. I put on 960 miles last weekend. Trying it both ways. I do not think just milling off the secondary shaft does the trick. Take the same amount off the plug as the shaft in my opinion.

Mine now is about same as Jims....
I had my guy make up some custom size shims, so Ill aim for 59mm.
So has anyone thought or tried to put a float into system like we used to have?
Meaning, can we not go back to utilizing the 3 holes, bolts, washers for deflection old school. Not sure if this is something that would even matter?
