Brought my belt blower to dealer

What is the secondary set at? I had to crank mine up 10 degrees from stock or it would slip the belts real bad and they would blow at about 400 miles. Now I just change them around 1200 miles and they don't look bad.
Stock. I've tried 70 degrees, tried shimming the helix for coil bind, aftermarket springs & helixes, etc.

Is it snapping the belts ,or is the belt in little pieces ?Snapping the belt is alignment ,belt pieces is heat from the clutching ,or improper adjustment ./Try running it Slow on the jack stand with no shim and the bolt loose to see where the driven ends up .

Shredding/belt disintegration is caused by heat, clutch alignment or broken springs. snapping belts is usually a binding issue or bottoming out the belt in the secondary.
I would put money on it that it’s an alignment issue seeing that he has had everything apart and changed all the springs and weights. Still blew belts.

Just curious...are you running a cold air intake?

I think these engines are solidly mounted, and should not have variances from one sled to the next.

But when you see several threads for two yrs now of belt blowers, it does bring into question....are there some sleds out there with something off in the mount location, making things out of alignment enough that you get extreme heat.

It sure would be nice to figure this stuff out so we can all check for whatever is the issue.

Please keep us posted, but it sure is gonna take a good tech to figure this out...most dealers many times dont have enough money to pay for a top notch tech unfortunately.

If you think they are all the same from the factory read this post. Super had to cut .125” from his clutch just to get it straight. STM secondarys are the same as stock secondarys. When I put mine on I had to change nothing from the stock secondary.

The 8DN is an apex belt. How can that be tried? Isn't it a lot shorter (or longer, I forgot without looking, but they aren't close)
8JP is the oem viper/sw belt
8DN is the oem most every other yammy
The 17641 number is the same on both so it must mean 'belt"...lol
The 8 dn swap is easy and there are tons of posts here and the viper section it basically takes adding shim washers on the bolts on the back of the secondary sheave or buying an osp belt adjuster that mounts on the helix side of the secondary
