So if the new secondary is a little bigger in diameter would there be any advantage in using a different belt? The secondary I got came from a 2008 Vector which used a different belt than the Phazer which is a little longer.

A 8dn (Vector)is almost identical in length to the Phazer belts. Pick either and adjust deflection to proper specs. No advantage to either belt. I have run 8GS,8Gk and 8DN and no difference after proper deflection is achieved so pick whatever you have handy.

Sorry for the stupid question but how do you adjust deflection on the reverse secondary? My Crossfire used an adjusting nut that sat in the center and was locked down when the secondary was tightened down. I have a Phazer shop manual but that's not going to help me.
I did get my secondary back from the machine shop today and the new secondary fits perfect. A couple of quick measurements and it looks to have exactly the same offset as the original.

Add/ remove washers from behind the nuts.

If I remember right they are bolts 3 of them on back of secondary. Small ones.

And they have washers. Those bolts get short (wear out) so often I carry an extra set....lol. Very easy just take off secondary, turn it over and on the back side you will see 3 very small bolts. If they still have the washers remove those and see if you get enough....if not replace bolts. Easy!
