Is the 2014 XF7000 bearing the same as the Viper? I order the AC version due to logistics and hoping it's the same!

In chaincase it's the same chinese PEER bearing in AC and Viper. On clutch side Viper has japanese Kuyo and AC use PEER.

I'm not sure it's the same bearing on the clutch side of the shaft. Mine is still apart right now because I ordered a standard 6206 not realizing that Yamaha uses a 28mm bore 6206 not the standard 30mm. I can't say for sure that they aren't the same, however, best guess is the 28mm is Yamaha exclusive

They're both garbage regardless of AC or yamaha IMO, should get more than 2500kms on a jackshaft bearing !

I got 8000 mi on mine and just replaced as cautionary measure. Annual cleaning and greasing. What did yours look like?

I don't have one, I'm sticking with a full yamaha product! But, here where I live we host the longest snowmobile endurance race in North America ! It's called cains quest. My team we're racing 2 viper mtx's. One was brand new and one had around 1000kms on it. The race is 3500kms as a crow would fly. Guess what put my team out of the race 2500kms in? Jackshaft bearing! Not a thing left to it. Only thing left to the bearing was the inner and outer races. $7500 to register, $15000ish for a new viper, $100,000 in prizes between 1st, 2nd and 3rd and got put out because of a jackshaft bearing!

You are correct. I just got my AC bearing today and its 30mm ID and the Yamaha is 28mm ID even though the Viper bearing is stamped KOYO 6206RD. Must be custom for Yamaha and not standard, not sure why its marked 6206 when it isn't. I can't find any bearing on the internet that is 28x62x16 to match the KOYO in the Viper! The AC bearing is standard and easy to find.

Which Jackshaft bearing went on the race sled? Clutch side or Chaincase side which is the wobblebearing?

They did get rid of the wobblebearing in 17's so now we have to see if the new setup will work. This is reason I religiously go through chaincase every spring. scares the heck out of me. If I raced I would delete the reverse. All you would need is the top gear and jackshaft from a 2 stroke which will be direct drive. So simple and must be more reliable.

Wow that's an amazing race! There are a few threads on TY that talk about bearing upgrades and have part numbers. You should be able to find them.

Checked out my bearing today.. wow should have done this earlier!
