In all my insanity this past weekend i forgot to mention i purchased a new Dalton STOCK 35 helix.
My first ride ended with broken secondary rollers that dinged my helix. I was able to sand the ramps ok, but i wanted to start fresh not just because of the dings, but mostly i was curious about the one roller not touching.
WOW!
If i was a MECHANOPHELIAC, this would be my new girlfriend. I LOVE machined aluminum!
Here are the comparisons:
Weight:
stock=1lb .4oz
dalton=15.5oz
ID:
stock=37.9mm
Dalton=37.75mm
Bearing Width: almost 3mm difference
stock=17.3mm
Dalton=20mm
The biggest difference besides beauty is ALL 3 ROLLERS TOUCH!
This may not be that important to some, but common sense says SUMPTIN' AIN'T RIGHT.
Now i have all 3 of my rollers happily touching some beautifully machined aluminum.
Everybody needs to feel loved.
P.S: Mechanophilia is the love of machines. Yes there are people that make love to machines.
P.S2: I do not believe in harming or sleeping with in Inanimate objects, but this chunk of metal would not be the coldest i've been with...........just sayin'

I purchased a 35 about a month ago from Dalton. Nice piece. Very professional packaging also with a nice catalog in the bag . Seems like a real class act company.

They are one of the GREATEST companies we have in this industry without a doubt. Top notch quality, they know how to treat clients and ship immediately. I've been friends with Dale Toole, the owner for many years. He sponsored my racing efforts and to this day remains my friend, a man you can count on for quality product and knowledge on all things clutching related.

Agreed. I just ordered some stuff from them and they cut the helix that night and shipped out the next day. On top of that I got my parts in two days total. It was like Amazon prime!! lol. I also appreciate the posts Dale has been doing recently. Nice to see him more active on here and coming in with a neutral opinion. I really appreciate the data without the drama.They are one of the GREATEST companies we have in this industry without a doubt. Top notch quality, they know how to treat clients and ship immediately. I have been dealing with Dale for as many years I can recall....He always replies to me quickly, and most times within minutes! He has always got items shipped out to me super fast. I have never dealt with any other vendors in the snomo-world that comes close to how wonderful Dale and Dalton treat me. This is how a sled business should be run.
Top notch clutching components, and springs that are always the best out there with no issues, and you know Dalton will always back up their components.
I find many times Dale can read my mind! Recently my spring arrived before I even was sure I wanted it! haha, sure is incredible. Kudos to Dalton.
Dan

Last year I bought two of the Dalton Black/Orange secondary springs to use in our two SideWinder's. Most of you know about the replacement/recall that Dalton had on these springs late last season:
https://ty4stroke.com/threads/black-orange-replacement-recall.153072/
That they found a problem with a few of these springs and would provide a replacement spring free of charge itself tells you what kind of company they are and how they care about their customers.
I kept dragging my feet to take care of replacing my two springs until Sat. afternoon Jan. 19. I sent an email to Dale regarding how I should proceed. A couple of hours later he replied and asked me to email him a pic of the two springs that I had along with another pic of the springs destroyed (cut in half).
On Monday, Jan. 21 I sent the pics to Dale and he replied the same day telling me that the two new springs were on the way. I received the replacement springs via FedEx the next day, Tues. Jan. 22.
That my friends is some outstanding customer service!

AND he hooked me up with a secondary, not just because he felt sorry for me, but because he's a SNOWMOBILER and knows how short the season is.
Now if everyone would just leave him alone, he can get some riding in!

Same deal here, had a B/O spring that I bought used from another member. I had forgot about the spring until I saw Don's post, emailed them, they said "No problem", ordered another spring at the same time.
Springs are supposed to be here by Thursday (Ordered at Noon on Tuesday)
Cant ask for better service than that!
Thank you Dalton!
