Time for port matching, it probably won’t gain much but it gives me something to do .. lol
The Yamaha exhaust gasket is matched almost perfect to the head outlet openings, makes you think Arctic cat made the exhaust manifold.. lol

Those Sidewinder stock exhaust manifolds are ugly!
Good thing they are hidden away so we don’t have to see them.
Port matching should help with flow and heat retention.

There are huge gains in the stock manifold but they aren’t from port matching. If you look at the shape of the tubes as they are cast, you’ll see how far from even they are. That’s why it’s so expensive for us to port the stock manifold. We actually cut it apart to change the tube directions internally

What does the dyno show compared to stock on your manifold mod?

Was just discussing this with someone the other day. Saw this on hurricanes site and its pricey so I figured it was quite involved and not just a simple clean up. Might be a good middle of the road option for those looking for stock manifold reliability assuming the re-welded area of the manifold holds up long term.

The stock manifold mod flows like the performance header and runs with the header flashes. The area that’s welded back together is strong and virtually invisible
