I have a Sidewinder on spring order and have been wondering about windshields. "snowbeast"...could you post a side view of your sled? That would give me a better idea of the windshield height.Mine is the mid smoked Yamaha.
Thanks;

That windshield looks awesome, I'm partial to shorter ones, do you happen to know the part number?For cold days, I use cat crosstrek windy with mirrors.
Would like to sell cat all black low. Too cold for me.

Keep in mind 12-16 procross windy won't bolt up on winder due to different bolt pattern.

True true....But i believe the newer version is darn near same shape....I think it was on the original 7000 cat if I recall.Keep in mind 12-16 procross windy won't bolt up on winder due to different bolt pattern.
Ben runs it on his Orange SW....his just happens to be white.

Yes, same shape, but different hole pattern. I also believe you maybe correct in that the cat 7000's windy mounting on winder.

Im pretty sure any VIPER/7000ac window will fit same mounting holes as SW.

The 7000s are compatible. I actually have a Thundercat one on my SideWinder.

You misread.....he said "procross".Pretty sure this was shown to not be true some time ago (maybe page 5 of this thread). I have a 2014-15 Viper Sport Mid windshield on my Winder. Zero modifications needed.
We know the Viper/7000 windows fit the SW...but NOT procross, bolt holes differ.

Compared to the other options I think this is the one for me. I want more hand protection than the others I've tried offer (w/o having to use hand guards). When Yamaha removed the SMA-8LR96-21 from the site mid-Summer I figured "here we go again" and ordered the SMA-8LR96-20 "tall" with the intent to cut it down some but leave the sides. Then I saw these at Haydays and Yamaha rep said they were on the way. So I'm looking forward to this one and have it on order - dealer told me "December" so hopefully I get it soon.View attachment 130372 View attachment 130374 View attachment 130375
New medium sport windshield installed
Not convinced I like it yet, but will decide when I put the sled down on the ground
Can you take a pic of it from behind the handle bars (as if you're on the sled)?
Thanks!
