More pics please!!! Any cracking with the aluminum tube? What did you use to bend it? Does it help to heat it up?errol said:

No cracking with the aluminum tube but I went slowly with the bending!
I used a 5" bench vise for the bending.
I bent it forward, then to the side and cut it with about the same angle as the side of the frame! I made a small hole on top and screwed with a screw and a nylon nut under the tunnel!
It's a lot of work though!

Nice job. Turned out better than mine. You finished my vision of what mine was supposed to look like. I just could not get it to bend like that. Mine did end up breaking off but it was because of my own stupidity. Turned out great.
I am wondering if a guy could buy the outer extrusions from CR Racing and just rivet them to the stock tunnel. May work. Will be trying it once we get a couple of tunnels from CR in.

T-Nytro, I really want to do this to mine but before I dig into a project like this, I was wondering how you supported the tipped up part of the tunnel? Did you cut the sides in order to bend it up? Either way, nice work... Any suggestions would be great!

The extension peice is rivited on just like the stock one was. The rear of the main tunnel is cut and bent up a little. In added some 1 inch aluminum angle on the inside of the tunnel extension that runs down and attaches to the main tunnel.
Yes the rezzeys point forward. They are from another sled that had a 18.5 inch center, sent into a shock shop, cut down, springed and revalved. They only fit pointing forward.

Do you have it extended to a 162 or is that just the stock extension piece cut and tipped up?

Stock extension peice cut up and tipped up.
Working on an extension and different outer running board extrusions that can be added to the stock tunnel. Time will tell. Having a hard time finding outer extrusions with that the coolant can flow through. They dont have to have the coolant running through them but would give people options to run a rear cooler. Any ideas on where to find?

I think you can buy directly from fabcraft
only thing i would worry about is, the rear suspension drop brackets mount near the end of the tunnel, prior to the extension on the mtx. cutting much off the extension could make the drop bracket mounting area too week for bigger hits or longevity of use. especially when using aftermarket lightweight drop brackets.
