I know this topic has probably been beat to death so sorry but I just installed a pair of Woodies 4" dual carbides on my ZR 7000 El Tigre and wondered if I need to stud the track, my sled darted badly with single carbides last year

Duallys will help a ton , should not need to stud it.. also check ski alignment and its best to have the skis towed out at least a 1/4-1/2"

remember if you are noticing DARTING when you let off the Throttle it is COMPRESSION braking of the 4 stroke - totally new to a former two stroke rider not darting. Solution to this for me is to know its going to happen and use it to weight shift, slow down gently under control(slowly release the throttle). Our 4 strokes will NOT coast like our 2 strokes with out feeling they are front end heavy and some feel it is darting.

I didn't notice darting when slowing down mostly when cruising the trails but thanks for the heads up

OK sounds like its not just compression braking loading the front end. I brought that up as I had an APEX I was able to buy cheap as the previous owner and his wife hated the way the sled ‘darted’ when she met others on the trail.....
