This thing looks sick!! 8)
Being an old Ski-Doo guy, you'll find one in my garage if it's half of what it appears to be. Twin or not!
Light weight , rev technology, 165hp!
Yamaha needs to get agressive, and fast. Hello 170HP R1 motor.
I knew Ski-Doo would doo something like this as soon as Bombardier sold them. Take out the lawyers and let'm loose.

Take a deep breath.............me included.
Ski-Doo did this 2 years ago with a 900 MXZ and never released it. They did exactly what they're doing here.
Let's wait and see.

As to whether the photo is real, I believe it is. I think the coil on the spring forms an optical illusion and makes it look like it is bent. All the posts on Amsnow with links to this picture have been deleted. That tells me Bombardier is telling them to keep a lid on it or they will pull advertising. Of course there is no Bombardier money flowing into a Totally Yamaha website, thus it is still here. Here is a reponse I copied from Amsnow:
What happened to my post ?

Asking "What happened to the new Mach Z thread?" If you''re going to delete posts, at least you could offer an explanation!

It was deleted because the sled referenced has an embargo and AMERICAN SNOWMOBILER has agreed to honor the embargo. This embargo includes the website in it's entirety. Thank you for understanding.

This sled exists. It is in a new "rev" chassis with new styling, using new construction ect. It is basically a lake racer. The machine is lowered via less susp. travel.

i just talk to a friend who test this sled they do a demonstration with ski-doo guy's and on a lake the new mach-z 1000 sdi with a zr-900 the zr was last with 15-to 20 sled behind i have to see it . sometime the prototype are faster than production but it's a real sled from ski-doo for 2005. thebest.

I'm sure they could shoehorn a triple in there no problem. I'm excited over this machine!! 8). To bad yamaha won't do something like this with a killer 4-stroke or tripple 2-stroke and then we would have the best of all worlds!

another pic of the 809 shoehorned into the rev chasis

They took the whole posts out of the other sites. It's gotta be a legit picture. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole myself. Skidoo? c'mon guys smarten up.
There was a time when the words Mach z sent fear through the minds of everybody on the lake. These days their twin motors have had so many problems with crank bearings and seals, plus loss of compression due to their single ring piston design. Hopefully they have resolved these issues. If not, it will be another Ski-Doo money pit.

Even if SkiDoo addressed all there problem's or any other 2-stroke manufacturer for that matter the power limit on these 2 strokes are at the end stage you can not make the amount of power there're making now or more without it costing the consumer more money to operate and maintain these hyped out 2 stroke motor's.It's just not fiesable for the everyday consumer to spend that much money on high octane gas and lubricant's.4 STROKES ARE NO JOKES!.
I had '94 '95 '96 '97 '98 '99 Mach Z's I would consider another.
I love the looks, we'll see if this pans out. 8)

Serveral Ski-doo twins this year from around here people we k now hav e lost the crankcase seal and runied the motor.
Very poor design
I will never own another 2 stroke snowmobile just for the need to carry oil. I ride with some ski-doo sdi's and just hate the smell of it they give me migranes for days after riding with them.
That sled is nice and I know it will be fast but i'll stick with a 4 stroker.

they 800s are blowin up left and right then they come out with something like that stupid to me now if that was a three cylinder in a better chassie that would be something but they dont care about quality ther racing 440 and 800 are 80% of ther lineup they care about nothing else
