you have a few options to mount the full skid plate.
1) weld nuts to the lower gusset

2) install nutserts in the lower gusset
http://www.harborfreight.com/45-piece-threaded-insert-riveter-kit-1210.html

3) use a hole saw to drill a single hole in the lower gusset similar to the OEM gusset and install speed nuts

4) use a smaller hole saw to drill two holes near the required hole location and install speed nuts.

Rite on thanks for the fast reply. And by the way grizz your gusset kit is great product already recommended to a few guys out here in eastern Ontario.

Option #4 is the best way. I am not a fan of the rivnuts shown in option #2. They end up failing eventually, especially if they are aluminum.

Yes rivnuts tend to loosen then its a bitch to get the bolt/screw out. I drilled out the rivnuts and went with u-nuts/speednuts and have had no issues since.

Yup, the internal threads on the aluminum rivnuts are notorious for stripping. They will also start to spin in the holes they're set into. The metal rivnuts are a little better but the tool to set them is expensive and they can still fail eventually. U nuts are the way to go.

Isn't the bottom end torque a huge change from the 2 strokes?!!

Ya for sure there's not enough snow to really see what it's like on the trail, but I was really surprised when I got on the side of the road (snow covered) and squeezed it and how fast it got to top speed. Was kinda surprised it topped out at 159kms not that I need to go any faster.Isn't the bottom end torque a huge change from the 2 strokes?!!
