So, I'm thinking about putting a skidplate on my Apex GT. When doing an oil change, there is a plate to remove under the engine to drain some of the oil out of the engine, correct? So, the skidplate has to come off with every oil change. Do the skidplates bolt in or are they pop riveted into the bulk head ?

Thanks.

I just put 2 on my Warriors....Like BlueBlood said....He is a Moron. :moon:
Guess he didn't want to take the time and drill the proper holes to mount the hardware that came with the plate. Now to change the oil you will have to drill out the rivets. :o|

I would take it back and make him change it. LaLaLa

I recomends blue loctite on the threads of the bolts. Will this make it hard to take them off for oil changes ? I am wondering if I should put it on or not...

I have had my skid plate on my '03 for RX-1mtn since new. I don't have any loctite on the screws and they are never loose when I check them (even after bouncing off boulders).

You are correct - My dealer is lazy and a Moron. (He also installed the headlight pod incorrectly.) I'll bring it back to them for the 500 mile oil change and have THEM remove the skid plate and install it properly.

Maybe it's me, but why take a sled back to a place that screws it up the first time around. I'd just replace the rivits and do the 500 mile maintance myself.
