sled of the year?

Back to the title "sled of the year"....I personally don't like it. Last year reading the reviews and impressions from TY members was so refreshing. Yea most of us are "blue bloods" to a point but we still post the negative stuff to. The Magazines do this stuff for a living so thier writing is going to have a slant to it, you just can't get around it. When you spend as much time on TY as we do you recognize user names that report stuff honestly. I do like the READ/VALVE section of supertrax and I think Snowtech is good but I spend 99% of my time on TY. Sled of the year is just a magazine cover. Kind of like SI's swimsuit issue when there's a brunette on the cover but I prefer blonds. Hey I'm not saying I wouldn't ride the brunette....Because I would.LOL. I guess I respect the opinions of the guys actually buying sleds more than the guys trying to stroke the OEMs.

tcsrx they both (RX1 & Apex)and they all have problems. From what I have seen the biggest problems are the warmers and the wheels on the Apex. The 03 Rx1 had linkage, seat cover problems and hood problems. Yamaha slowly came through for all of the RX1 problems. I am still running the original track that everyone complained about and the original linkage. So from what I have been through Yamaha will fix the problems. If you have had a chance to ride the RX1 and the Apex you might know what I mean by stable a high speeds. The Apex is soooo solid compared to the RX1 but I still enjoy what I have. The engine!!! I can't belive how people just take that 4 stroke for granted. It is just an awsome package

did I miss something? Other than wheels falling apart what kept people sidelined on the Apex/Attak?

I think that Snappy is a fisher, especially when he spouts mechanical issues...Huh?!? I have not seen any mechanical issues listed in TY about Apex...Sounds like OEM envy?
