Is there any way to eliminate the annoying hesitation just off idle? It's like a flat spot when trying to go slow, it's like on again off again. No problem when accelerating.
Don't want to add any tune, perhaps different clutch springs?

My 2017 did the same thing. I switched to a Dalton Black/Blue in the primary and it is much better but not completely gone. I think you might have to go to one of the soft start springs to eliminate it altogether. It is really annoying though when your clutch engagement is at the exact RPM that you need to go go slowly and maneuver around things.
Yes, you will need a lighter initial rate spring for lower engagement but keep the finish rate equal or you will lose RPM up top of you go to a softer spring all around.
Thinking it's probably not an issue if you're concerned with putting around and having engagement issues.

I have two complete sets of clutches with different calibrations.
One primary and secondary are set up for performance/snow drags and the other set is calibrated for trail riding.
The performance set up is for the 300 tune, engages @ 4500rpm so I can take advantage of launch control, and uses a 8DN belt.
The trail set up favors the 240 tune, engages under 3000 rpm, uses a Gates redline belt and provides quite low cruise RPM on the trail.
I have not had the performance setup on my sled for over 3 seasons now.
Works for Me!

You could try the next spring up in the Yamaha primary Spring chart, it's the BL BR BL. it offers a bit lower engagement with a bit more Top End RPM !Is there any way to eliminate the annoying hesitation just off idle? I have some OEM primary springs at home that I got with a group of other clutch parts that I bought locally. I think a couple of them are even new. If you can determine what spring you are after, let me know and I will check if I have it.
