HOW DO THEY WORK JUST PURCHASED A SET LOOK REALLY AGRESSIVE ANT FEEDBACK {THANKS}

Welcome to TY.

Slydogs have been covered extensively.

Try the search feature near the top of the webpage.

I will give some advise that is a little more helpful. So much for welcoming obvious new members with welcome arms.

Which Slydogs do you have? Trail or Race version? From what I have seen, heard, slydogs are comparable to C&A skis.

We all realize there is a search feature. but enough with the brow beating around here. Guy was asking a simple question. If you didnt feel like responding, say nothing.

Which model Apex are you putting them on? I can help you get them setup. Just need some more information.

I just purchased a set of powder hounds. I am putting them on my 07 apex GT. I chose to go with the 6" shaper bars per kjmotorsports. I havent yet installed them they look pretty straight forward. I will write up a full review after winter on my setup, hope all the money and time will have been worth it

I have 2 full seasons on my Powderhounds. I run Bergstrom 8" Triplepoints, 3/8 Skisavers. and shims for proper wear bar attitude. Mine are shimmed in front 3/8" per Scott Bergstrom. Mine are one of the first Yamaha mounts they produced and have since been revised to provide more rearward pressure. Really like the turning effort and bute these provide. I have a Viper with C@A XT's and the Powderhounds easily have half the steering effort with 90% of the bite. I also ran a protoype addon that Scott is working on. Provides outside keels to aid in turning on all conditions. As you can tell, I have some time involved in seting these up and modifying them. Light , flexible in the front, they climb over a lot of things when boondocking. You'll love 'em!!!

The rubber bumper seems to be different then the older style. Looks to put more pressure on the rear of the carbides more now. When I have them installed I will check to see if the front of the skis(carbides) are off the ground less than 1/4"?
How about toe? Ive read most say toe in then out. Ive also read good feed back about zero toe.

Mine are toed IN 1/4". Yes, your new style bumper is what mine should have been. Oh well, as long as the front of the carbide is up 1/8-1/4. it'll be fine.

Edited to reflect proper toe IN DOH!

You will love the powderhounds. I have two sets on both Attaks. They turn easy, bite, and with the triples, shims, and ski savers, I have virtually no darting at all. Best upgrade I did.

Well I received mine a couple days ago, and just installed them today. The install way easy. Only problem I had was with the carbides not sitting level with the ski. The welds on the carbide was riding on the ski before it was actually set in the ski. Hope to start a thread in the garage when iam finished.

My fiance just ordered me a set of these today and I'm psyched..... Due to my color choice they had to order them from the factory so I won't see them for 2-3 weeks.

Now I need to get a hold of Berstrom and order Viper Dave's set up!

  ;)!

Mine took about a week and a half to come. Fairly fast, Iam guessing other people are getting ready for this season, is the reason for the delay.

Hang in there. I havent rode with mine yet but I can say they look pretty sweet.

Powderhounds

I love them from a flotation standpoint. I don't think I had the right setup from shimming to shock preload. I also ran six inch junk carbides on them and will never run anything but Bergstroms from this point on. Any help from some experts would be appreciated. Thanks :rocks: :yam:
