This should piss off some of the turbo/ s.c. company's that were working off of the pre- production sleds. I wonder if mpi will still use the stock pump and injectors now?

There are many possible reasons for the change, but most likely is injector effiency. The injectors are happiest operating at appx. 50% duty cycle.

I thought I was in charge of R&D so I'm wondering who at MPI told you that the fuel pump and inj's are different on the production unit? The fact is that the fuel pump is the same as well as all the sensors. The inj's do have a different part number but we are still testing to see if they will work and besides that it really doesn't matter if they do or not because we have allready found stock replacment inj's that will perform as needed without having to add the weight and complexity that come with adding additional inj's and fuel pump not to mention the fact that under hood space on these sleds comes at a premium. I'm not saying that adding inj's is the wrong way to do it but we have just decided to go a different way.

Supercharged Apex......mmmmmm.......I can't wait! :4STroke:

Sorry Abe just said what the guy who answered the phone at MPI told me thats all. He also said he hoped to ship the first stage 1 kits within 3 weeks and that they are trying to make enough parts for about 400+kits. Stage 2 by November.
This is the year of Yamaha!! :flag:
